Manchester United, Liverpool, Juventus, City are in the running to sign Barca star Alexis Sanchez but Arsenal for now lead the race.
The Spanish giants have reportedly accepted Arsenal’s bid and Gunners have been given the green light to seal the deal for the Chilean playmaker.
Not only that, it has also been reported that the Catalan star has Arsenal as his preferred premier league club.
However, like every year, Arsenal fans have their fears of losing out on another top target. Over the years, they have been linked with many world class players but in the end failed to sign them for one reason or the other.
Last summer, superstars like Rooney, Suarez and Higuain were linked but none joined. Like the latest reports on Sanchez, there were reports last summer that Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain is set to seal deal with gunners after given green light by Real Madrid.
Even his father claimed:
“We have permission [from Madrid] and hopefully we can soon see my son in Premier League”
What followed is well known. Higuain eventually joined Italian side Napoli and Arsenal fans were fuming.
With that reputation of failing in the transfer window, gunners will not celebrate unless they see Sanchez deal officially completed and although they are used to it but expect Arsenal fans to burst with anger (again) if club fails to sign Alexis.
