Di Maria’s PSG move to trigger bidding war for Arsenal and Liverpool target Balotelli

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to sign Real Madrid midfielder Angel Di Maria soon, and that move could start a transfer chain that would see Ezequiel Lavezzi move to AC Milan, and begin a bidding war between Arsenal and Liverpool for Mario Balotelli, according to the Daily Express.
Di Maria had been a long-term target of Manchester United, but he favours a move to the Ligue 1 champions. If PSG complete a deal for the Argentinian, his international teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi will be surplus to requirements, and AC Milan are prepared to pay £25 million to bring him to the San Siro.
That would leave Mario Balotelli free to leave Milan, with Arsenal and Liverpool both interested in signing the Italy striker. The 23-year-old joined Milan from Manchester City in January 2013, but Milan are now ready to move him on.
Balotelli scored Italy’s winner against Italy, but he failed to make an impact in their games against Costa Rica and Uruguay. Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has suggested that clubs would be put off by his indifferent performances, which could mean Arsenal or Liverpool can get a bargain.
Berlusconi said: ”I was about to sell Balotelli to an English team for several millions.
“But after this World Cup who will buy him anymore?”
