Why there should be TWO Costa Rica stars at Arsenal

Well, another two Arsenal players were eliminated from the World Cup earlier. The Arsenal captain, who may not be with us for too much longer, had to watch from the bench as his Belgium team were beaten by Argentina. Then young Joel Campbell’s Costa Rica went out on penalties to the Dutch.
But fair play to the South American minnows who everybody expected to be the whipping boys in England’s so-called group of death. They were a credit to football and the tournament, and two of the major reasons for that should be playing for Arsenal next season.
Campbell, obviously, because he is already a Gunner and surely deserves a chance after his World Cup showing. The 22-year old was subbed in the second half, but it could not have been for his performance, which was impressive and had moments of brilliance. Campbell worked himself into the ground in their last game and looked drained before he was replaced.
The other Costa Rican that, hopefully, will be playing for us is the keeper, Keylor Navas. The Levante stopper was fantastic again tonight, keeping his side in the match numerous times. He was the hero of the last game with his penalty save, but they would not even have got to penalties against Holland if not for him.
Navas has been linked with Arsenal and his price should not be too much. Forget getting an understudy for Szczesny, let’s get someone who can really challenge for the number one shirt. What do you think?
