Winston Reid wants a huge pay day which will almost certainly see him leave West Ham.
Hammers defender Reid, a key figure in their remarkable start to the campaign, wants £60,000 a week and a £1million signing-on fee.
They are the figures being quoted to interested clubs and they are likely to price West Ham out of keeping the 26-year-old, who is out of contract next summer.
But it will not deter Arsenal or Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool, who are both keen on New Zealand international Reid and may even see whether they can get him on the cheap in January.
West Ham have not given up on keeping Reid and insist that they are hopeful that he will stay at the Upton Park club, especially after their great start to the campaign which has left them dreaming of European football next season.
But West Ham boss Sam Allardyce, yet to start talking about his own new deal, has admitted that he fears Reid could leave.
