Arsenal have been given a boost in the transfer market after Lille revealed they are open to offloading Salomon Kalou.
The 28-year-old has long been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and those rumours have continued this summer.
TalkSport reports Lille are desperate to land Marsielle’s World Cup star Jordan Ayew but will have to sell Kalou to raise funds and make room in their side.
Kalou is one of Les Dogues’ highest earners but despite scoring 18 goals last season they are not keen to continue paying him lucratively.
Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger has been looking for a striker for next season after heavily relying on Olivier Giroud last campaign.
He is believed to be keen on Kalou who has previous experience of playing in England after his stay at Chelsea for six years in which he scored a total of 60 goals.
