The 26-year-old winger shone for Colombia at the World Cup before they were knocked out by Brazil in Friday’s quarter-final, and has attracted interest from Manchester United as well as the Gunners.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Arsenal lodged a bid worth just over £22m for Cuadrado but Fiorentina dismissed it as “ridiculous”.
The Serie A outfit are holding out for a fee in excess of £28m, and Cuadrado has reportedly set his sights on a move to Barcelona.
Cuadrado’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, has already opened talks with the Catalan giants and the player’s future will be decided after the World Cup, according to Sport.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are hoping to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, while Newcastle defender Mathieu Debuchy is also close to agreeing a move to the Emirates Stadium.
