Gonzalo Higuain turned down the opportunity to commit his future to Napoli as Arsenal continue to be linked with the Argentina striker.
The former Real Madrid forward has been touted as a target for Arsène Wenger in recent weeks as the Frenchman looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.
Barcelona are also said to be keeping tabs on the 26-year-old’s situation after his goal fired Argentina to victory over Belgium in the World Cup quarter-finals.
And Higuain gave little away when quizzed about his future ahead of Argentina’s semi-final clash against the Netherlands in Brazil.
“I don’t really know what will happen,” Higuain is quoted as saying by El Espectador.
“Right now I am a Napoli player and my mind is currently on doing well with the national team.
“For now I am thinking only about winning the World Cup, then we will see.”
Higuain scored 17 goals and made seven assists in 32 Serie Aappearances after joining Napoli from Real Madrid last summer.
